Wedding: Jessie & Adam, Part one

Jessie and Adam. Whidbey Island. It was such a fantastic wedding. Of course, I started off in a fantastic mood because we got to ride the ferry across the Puget Sound to start the day, which just made the day seem like it was going to be a special one. Huge thanks to Kim Dunlap for assisting me and second-shooting during this one!

Jessie and Adam got married at Greenbank Farm on Whidbey Island, which was such a perfect place for them. They have a pie cafe right on site, plus a wine shop and some other shops. The grounds were just amazing.

Jessie’s bouquet (above) was made with love by Tracy from FarmHouse Flowers — everything in the bouquet came from the island and it was even tied with repurposed ribbon that Tracy found at a thrift store. It was important to Jessie that all the flowers should be organic and local, and Tracy was so helpful in this.

I love how this moment from Jessie and Adam’s first look (on a little stone bridge!) echoes the photo below, which is a detail of their rings atop a figurine that Jessie bought to commemorate the two of them moving in together a couple of years ago. It’s so them.

I’ll be sharing more from Jessie & Adam’s eco-friendly island wedding throughout the week!
