In the continuing spirit of the holidays, I wanted to share this shoot I worked on a few weeks ago with a great team of Portland vendors. I’m calling it the vintage holiday shoot, and it was a collaboration with my friend Liz Gomez with Novia Events and The Candy Buffet. Liz did a great job assembling the team and styling this shoot, and it was featured last week on the mother of all wedding blogs, Style Me Pretty!
Our beautiful model (check out that HAIR!) was decked out in her room at the Hotel Deluxe in Portland — wearing a dress from Charlotte’s Weddings and headpiece from Serephine. As a side note, Erin from Serephine is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. I loved meeting and working with her on this project and if I can help it, you’ll be seeing her headpieces a lot more throughout my work.
This fabulous suit on our groom model came from the geniuses at Duchess Clothier, and those cute wintery invites are from Invite Me on Etsy.
The makeup and hair styling was done by the incomparable Madi Roosevelt.
That great vintage hat is from John Helmer, Haberdasher.
Our rentals (pictured below) came from The Party Place for this shoot. I love those crisp white chairs!
This is the kind of cute candy display that Liz puts together through The Candy Buffet. She usually includes candy and baked goods and I can attest, they’re all delicious.
We also put together a going-away look (that’s right, it’s the same bride!) by converting her hair, hairpiece (still from Serephine) and dress (also from Charlotte’s). It made for a really fun second look.
That gorgeous bouquet (and the rest of the flowers for this shoot) came from my very talented friend Jenny from Green in Bloom.
Then they hopped in the vintage limo from Imperial Limousines — and it was the perfect cherry on top of an already vintage-inspired day.
That’s the last shoot I’ll be sharing for 2010! It’s been a fantastic year, and I’ll be reflecting more on it at the end of the week and steering the new course for the blog in 2011, including a mini-makeover!
