I may be a total sucker, but I’m sold — elopements have become my new favorite thing. This couple snuck away to the stormy Washington coast a couple of weeks ago to get married in a lighthouse, not telling any of their friends and family what they were up to. It was romantic, it was very sweet and it was very, very windy. But that’s what the Washington coast is all about — the drama, the rugged beauty and the wild, untamed nature of the place.

Patricia and Vincent are from the Seattle area, but came down to Cape Disappointment State Park to have their itty-bitty wedding at the North Head Lighthouse. It’s old and beautiful and a little leaky, but it made a wonderful backdrop for their ceremony on a quiet Sunday afternoon.

Their officiant was Annemarie Juhlian, who does a lot of elopements in the Pacific Northwest. She did a great job offering a meaningful and sweet ceremony for these two.

Congratulations, Patricia and Vincent! I’m so happy for you both and your new marriage. I’d also like to give special thanks to Emily Hall, who assisted me with this wedding.
