Can you believe how gorgeous Lane’ is in these photos? She was such fun to photograph recently — I love her relaxed style. She runs a fun vintage and budget-friendly wedding rental company called Something Borrowed. Check it out!

Amy Wing Designs Spring Lookbook

I’m so excited to finally be able to share these photos. These are the photos from Amy Wing Designs‘ spring/summer lookbook, and they’re so fun that I’ve been just about to burst waiting to share them on the blog! We did a fun photo shoot to show off Amy’s Blossom Collection that was completely ballet-inspired, and styled by Kimberly at Billede Design.

Our models for this shoot, Kelly and Megan, were so lovely in clothes from Souchi, Lille Boutique and Kate Towers.

Recent Work: Beach Photos

I have really pretty friends (and I’m about to prove that to you in this post). I also have friends who are very smart and who are good businesswomen, so when you combine all that, you sometimes get these really fun photo shoots that are loads of fun to work on.

Below are my photography pals — Christy of Studio Christy, Annie of Annie’s Sweet Pea Photography, Melissa of Soul Mates Photo and Deyla from Deyla Huss Photography. We like to go to the beach together, and on a recent trip we decided we could all use some updated photos. Here are a few of my favorites from the shoot, on a beautiful February day on the Oregon coast.

I feel so lucky to be in the company of such beauties and such great photographers. Thanks, ladies, for being great friends!

Meet The Bylines!

If there’s one thing I admire in others, it’s commitment to following their dreams. I love to watch people I know doing amazing things, and some of the most inspiring people I know are my friends Marianna Theielen and Reece Marshburn, who together lead The Bylines, a soulful retro pop group. They’ve been following their dreams of making music for a couple of years now, and it’s been a thrill to watch them find success.

Now, their second album is out (I got my copy last week!) and it’s great. I wanted to share some photos I took of them recently (one of which appears in the album). I think you’ll love their music and their passion just as much as I do.

The Bylines are having a CD release party on March 16 at the Alberta Rose Theatre — I’d encourage you to come out and see them (we’ll be there!), or get your hands on a copy of the new album. It’s really great.

The Bylines’ regular appearances around the Portland area are listed on their site.

Holiday Photos: Rosemary & Brian

Do you know Rosemary Stafford? If you don’t, you should. She’s a local florist who not only does amazing work with flowers, but is a really fun person to hang out with. We met earlier in 2011 on a photo shoot and totally hit it off. Just before Christmas, I got together with Rosemary and her man, Brian, and we took some really sweet couple photos in NW Portland and the edge of Forest Park.

I love their whole vibe — these guys are some of my favorite people.

Above, that’s one of Rosemary’s floral arrangements, just casually arranged on her living room table. I’ve never seen one thing of hers that I don’t love.

Thanks, Rosemary and Brian, for choosing me to shoot your photos! It was amazing and you know I can’t wait for next time.

Wedding Party: Jasmine & Chris

This week, I’m going to be sharing some photos from Jasmine and Chris’ wedding celebration, which happened back in September. Since they had so many family and friends come into town to celebrate with them, they had a pre-wedding party where they could all celebrate and hang out. They held it at Uptown Billiards in Northwest Portland and I did a photo booth plus some photos of the party. It was a really fun way for them to kick off their wedding weekend.

Jasmine found the cutest photobooth props from Etsy — I loved all these lips, mustaches and glasses!

OMG! Wedding Kits now Available

I think most of you know that I like to have projects to work on and keep things interesting. Well, over the past few months I took some time to develop a fun idea into a super-helpful product. After photographing more than 100 weddings, I’ve seen firsthand the things that brides forget or need in a pinch. So I developed this cute little kit that you can take along on your wedding day and be totally covered. Best of all, it’s tiny at 6×6 inches and will easily tuck into your bag for wedding emergencies.

OMG! Wedding Kits

Each “For the Bride” kit contains: Band-aids, white chalk (for masking stains on white cloth), a mini lint-roller, breath mints, fashion tape, bobby pins, needles and thread, tissues, blister bandages, safety pins, pain reliever, stain remover, clear nail polish, scissors, chocolate (the good kind — I promise!) and emery boards.

They sell for a cool $30, including shipping. I think you probably need one. So go pick one up!

Of course, these little guys would make a really fantastic gift for the bride-to-be in your life. For Christmas, for her shower, just because.

Meet the PHOTOBOOTH!

Folks, I’ve got a new party trick: Meet the PHOTOBOOTH! It’s been a hit at a handful of weddings this summer and fall. If you’re interested in having the photobooth at your wedding, it’s a simple add-on to any wedding collection and it includes digital negatives of you and your friends and family hamming it up all night. Here’s a few fun ones from Kirsten & Cody’s wedding:

It’s a fun way for your guests to interact, have fun and leave some silly, fun or totally wacky memories behind from your wedding. The photobooth is in full commission for the 2012 wedding year and starts at $700, so ask me about adding it on to your wedding collection.

Rehearsal Dinner: Emily & Jeff

Well, friends, it’s the last day of Maui photos on the blog! I hope you’ve enjoyed the hugely exhaustive posts from our trip and from Emily & Jeff’s wedding. Today I’m happy to share the last installment — photos from the night of the rehearsal dinner, the night before their beautiful wedding. Emily, Jeff and I started with some portraits at the Grand Wailea.

For our dinner, the whole group went to Tommy Bahama, where we ate and enjoyed the great view from their patio near the ocean.

They made a mean mai tai, and it was just so fun hanging out together and having a relaxing evening together the night before the wedding.

Below is my niece Draven, looking radiant in her lei, and in the right-hand photo you can see my nephew Forrest (in the orange shirt).

It was all too much excitement for my nephew Kailan, who didn’t quite make it through the dinner without a little nap:

Congrats, Emily and Jeff! We love you and it was so fun to be part of your extended wedding festivities this summer. Until the next trip to Hawaii!

Meet the Finalists!

The contest I’m doing this week with Erin from Foosie Design has been fun so far, but it’s about to get a lot more fun for everyone. This morning we’re naming our six finalist couples, and whoever can get the most votes by Thursday at midnight wins the engagement session and save-the-dates!

Holly & Andrew got engaged in a helicopter ride after a picnic, complete with strawberry shortcake, in June.

Elena & Craig got engaged in June when Craig put together a scrapbook detailing all the ways he loved her, and a proposal on the last page.

Ashley-RenĂ©e & James met at Reed College and soon realized that they though each other were funny. Now they’re inseparable!

Erin & Simon (pictured here at a Teen Wolf Prom party) got to know each other through texting, traveling and tour buses.

Tatyana & Ivan’s proposal story involves hot air balloons, and was the best day of Tatyana’s life.

Miranda & AJ took a hike in the Gorge up to a secret spot where AJ hid a message in a bottle for her.

To read the full versions of their stories and vote for your favorite, visit the Foosie Design Facebook Page, and leave a comment under the photo of the couple you want to win!
