I have so many great couples that I’m working with this summer! Johan and Stella are one of those great couples — they’re sweet, they’re fun and they’re absolutely perfect together. We got together last month to shoot their engagement session in the Pearl District and we had a blast.
I love it when Johan would make Stella crack up — aren’t they sweet together?

There’s a special spot in my heart for couples who meet in college. If you know me, you know I met my sweetie in college and I remember how fun it was to be embarking on a new love story while away in a new place. Laura and Matt met in college too — and they’re such a great match.
These two met at Western Oregon University in Monmouth, so we met up there to shoot their engagement session, since it’s such a special place for them.
I think Matt was unsure about all this engagement session business when we first began, but he ended up having a good time in front of the camera. I love the chemistry between he and Laura.
Those boots!? It’s hard not to get clothing envy in my line of work.
I love these bleacher shots so much, it makes me want to plan a weekend trip back to my own college town and do a session with my sweetie there in the stadium. There are so many memories when you’re in college of sporting events and school spirit!
I love the area around Monmouth/Salem and how naturally beautiful it is. Thanks for getting me out of my normal shooting zone, Matt and Laura!

These two were seriously fun to photograph — from the Pearl, up into Forest Park and then to check out Rose Festival floats, we toured the city for this session and I had loads of fun getting to know these guys better as we did it.
I love the laughing and fun these two have together — Jason was always getting Jeanette to laugh.
They even brought along a special bottle of champagne and treasured toasting flutes to enjoy a little toast on-camera.

Megan and Paul! These two are on my favorites list for sure. Ever since our first meeting, Megan and I totally hit it off. These two are married now — their wedding was just a couple of weeks ago — so you’ll be seeing wedding photos soon too!

Ahh, Chris and Trina. I had a really fun afternoon with these two in Waterfront Park and nearby on one of the most crowded Saturdays I’ve seen there in a long time. These guys were troopers, though!

I love it when couples are just totally themselves during their engagement session. I got that feeling from Jason and Sara, who I photographed a few weeks ago in their Pearl District condo and around their neighborhood. Aren’t these guys cute?
Jason and Sara live in an incredible building with an interior courtyard, which was a great spot to shoot on a sunny day.

Deacon and Talena are my people. These guys are a blast to hang out with, and they cracked me up all throughout their fun engagement session, which we shot in the Pearl District a couple of weeks ago.
I love engagement sessions like these, which feel easy and laid-back. I also love these guys’ clothing choices — they’re all prepped for their honeymoon to Italy this September.

I love love. And I love these two, Sara and Greg, who are getting married later this year on Whidbey Island. It’s one of my favorite places ever to shoot weddings, and I’m so lucky to get to do one or two every year. We took these engagement photos awhile back at Sara & Greg’s house and at Green Lake in Seattle. See their mugs? If you turn them around, they’re my initals. I got a little kick out of that one.

The couples who entered were so cute that we had to pick two winners. Holly and Andrew took their photos awhile back, but Erin and Simon waited awhile — and boy, was it worth the wait.
